Description

Set out on a tour of Nazareth, which is considered to be the place where 'everything' per the Christian culture, started. You will see the Virgin Mary Well which is the spot where Gabriel greeted the Virgin Mary and St Joseph's house and carpentry. As you walk through Old Nazareth, pass by a synagogue from Jesus' time, en-rote the St Gabriel Church.     Visit Nazareth, where, in Christian eyes, 'everything' started. After meeting with your Nazareth tour guide, proceed to:

    • Visit the place where Gabriel greeted the Virgin Mary, telling her that she had been chosen by the Lord. This sight is called Mar's Well. 
    • Walk onwards to St. Joseph's House & Carpentry, the house and workshop of Joseph that is today seen as a solid, simple work of architecture. 
    • Next, we tour Old Nazareth passing by the Synagogue which is actually a small church believed to have been the only Synagogue in the village during Jesus' time. We proceed to stride through romantic squares as we return to where we started from, the sight of the Annunciation: Mary's Well. 
    • Then, we walk to St. Gabriel Church which is known as the Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation. It is an Eastern Orthodox Church that is of great significance to Christians. 
    • Lastly, we stop by an eatery that serves authentic, traditional Lebanese food such as falafel, hummus, and kebabs. The tour ends here.
