  • Day 1: Old city of Akko - Tiberias expand_more
    • Upon arrival, meet your tour guide.
    • Visit the following attractions on your tour: 
      • Napoleon Hill: We will start our tour overlooking the old city from the hill on which the Napoleon army once stood and fired at the ancient city. We will get the big picture of how and when the city of Acre became so prominent in Israel's history.
      • Visitor Center - Knight's Halls: Beneath our feet still lies the old Crusader capital of Acre. We will hear about the different orders of the Crusader army, walk through their streets and experience their fantastic architecture.
      • Walls of the old city: Do walk on the city walls that will help unfold the story of the great defeat of the Napoleon army in Acre.
      • "El-Jazar's Mosque" and Turkish Bazaar: Jumping to the Ottoman period, we will hear about the ancient relic still lying in the most prominent mosque of Acre. In a walk through the Turkish bazaar, we will see some local artists and bond with the locals.
      • The Marketplace: Amazing colours, scents and tastes will lead us to the marketplace. There, we would learn how to bargain, trade, and look for the best goods. It's also the time for the famous Hummus meal during our lunch break.
      • Pillars' Inn: The beautiful seamen Inn lies right by the port and holds one of six unique clock towers in Israel. The mark of the Sultan tells the story of the whole Ottoman empire. The great granite pillars hold a hidden bond to the Crusaders who once ruled the city.
      • Crusader's Tunnel: Know about the contingency plan formed by the mighty Knights Templars in Acre. They had built a secret underground escape tunnel to their private port from the keep. We will tread in their wake, exploring the secrets of the tunnels.
      • Merchants Inn: We will finish our tour at the beautiful Merchants Inn. Now flourishing with restaurants, in its walls lie the secret plan of the one Jewish advisor who came up with the means to defeat Napoleon's army and change Israel's history forever.

  • Day 2: Tiberias - Trek through Arbel Mount. expand_more

    (Start at 9:00 after breakfast)

    • Visit the following attractions on your tour: 
      • Understand Judaism through Hamat Tiberias 4th century synagogue. 
      • Tour through Magdala roman city depicting an epic battle between Jews and Romans.
      • Enjoy lunch in the Magdala open mall.
      • Drive to Ginosar.
      • See the 2000-year-old boat of Ginosar. A unique archaeological finding in the Sea of Galilee - a boat that survived two millennia.
      • Trek through Arbel mount, a nature reserve. A short trek through the ancient battleground of Herod and renegade Jews.
      • Tour through the old Ottoman city of Tiberias - Walls, a port, and local legends unfold in the ancient town.
      • End our day with a beautiful view of the city.

  • Day 3: Yehiam Fortress - Rosh ha'Nikra Grottos expand_more

    (Start at 9:30 after breakfast and drive)

    • Visit the following attractions on your tour:
      • Journey through Yehiam Fortress. We will unfold stories from the Crusaders who built the fortress, through the Ottoman renegade rulers of the north, to the Israeli settlers fighting for their lives during the Israeli war of independence.
      • Go for a short trek through Yehiam Valley to eco-friendly Klil village.
      • Optional: Visit a Buddhist retreat (Where I practice and learn).
      • Have lunch in a Galilean boutique restaurant (By tourist's choice).
      • Visit the Rosh Hanikra Grottos (Includes a cable car ride and a short walk).
      • Finish on a lookout on the coast of western Galilea.

  • A beautiful weekend in northern Israel. We will experience nature in treks up in the mountain of Arbel and down at the Grottos of Rosh Hanikra. We'll run through history from biblical time, through the reign of the crusaders, the rule of the British mandate until we arrive at the state of Israel. We will taste, smell and feel one of the essential parts of the Israeli culture - the food! We will spend time visiting the old city of Akko and the important sites around the Sea of Galilee.
