From a panoramic view atop Mount of Olives to the remnants of the past on Mount Zion, Jerusalem opens a window into the world where gods and kings walked. Also explore the bustling markets and boulevards of today's Holy Land.
Early morning departure towards Jerusalem. Upon arrival, we start the day with a panoramic view of the city from the top of Mount of Olives or Mount Scopus.
We will continue to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed by Judas and taken captive.
Proceed to Mount Zion to see the room of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King David.
After that, we will enter the Old City through Zion gate and proceed to the Church of Holy Sepulchre where we will see the last 5 Stations of the Via Dolorosa (The stations of the Cross), which is shared by several different streams of Christianity that fight among them for control.
We’ll continue from here via the bustling “SUK” (The market place) of the Muslim Quarter to the Jewish Quarter and the Wailing / Western Wall, which is the Holiest place in the world for the Jewish people as it is the only remnant of the Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
We will conclude the day driving by some of the key monuments of Jerusalem: The Jerusalem Theater, Official residence of the President of Israel, Israel Museum and the Shrine of the Book, The Knesset (Parliament), Supreme Court, and many of Israel Ministries in the “Capitol Hill” area in Jerusalem.
