  • We start from Jerusalem (2,300 ft), and drive down to the Dead Sea Valley which is part of the Syrian-African Rift, the longest rift line in the world. Dead Sea is 1,450 feet below sea level and is the lowest place on the dry earth.

  • Once there, we will examine the amazing flora and fauna that exist in the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. National Geographic calls Ein Gedi one of the top-20 worth-visiting nature parks in the world.

  • Ein Gedi is the only place in the Judean Desert where fresh water is available all year round.

  • Now, we will trek up to the Shulmit Falls and see where young David hid from King Saul.

  • We will take a refreshing break at the falls before walking back to the van. From there, we will drive to the spectacular mountain fortress/palace of Masada built by Herod the Great over 2,000 years ago.

  • After a thorough walk around Massada, we will again board the van for a dip in the Dead Sea to enjoy  effortless floating experience in its water.
