  • Day 1- Trekking starts from Rinjani Trekking Club expand_more

    • Hotel Pick-up at 05.00 a.m to Senaru and breakfast at around 07:00. Leave RTC (Rinjani Trekking Club) to begin the climb. Travel through the local farmer's field and tropical rain forest

    • At around 12 p.m, arrive at the Base Camp(III) for lunch

    • Continue up to the crater rim for the first night camp (dinner to be served here), watch a glorious sunset here

  • Day 2- Segare Anak Lake expand_more

    • Get up earlier to watch the sunrise. 

    • At 07:00, have breakfast and enjoy the lake view from the rim. 

    • Make 2 hours descent into the crater (Segara Anak Lake) 

    • On reaching Segara Anak Lake, enjoy a long break by the lakeside and have lunch here. Take a cool dip in the lake or relax in the natural volcanic hot spring. 

    • Explore the area or take a nap.

    • At 02:30 p.m, continue to the Sembalun Crater rim for dinner.

    • Get to bed early to catch the sunrise from the summit.

  • Day 3- Sunrise at Mount Rinjani expand_more

    • Undertake a three-hour summit to Mt. Rinjani (from 3:00 A.M.) to catch the sunrise at the height of 3726 meters above sea level.

    • After taking in the view from the top of Rinjani, return to see Sembalun Rim camp and have breakfast.

    • At 10:00 a.m, descend to the village of Sembalun, a journey about 4-5 hours. Transport will be there for a transfer to Senaru.

  • Mount Rinjani looms large over Lombok. At 3,726 m, Rinjani is the second-highest volcano in Indonesia after Mount Kerinci in Sumatra, and it dominates the landscape of the relatively small island of Lombok.

  • The mountain and its satellites form the Mount Rinjani National Park (Taman Nasional Gunung Rinjani) - officially 41,000 hectares within the park boundaries and a further 66,000 hectares of protected forest outside.

  • In 2008, the Indonesian government proposed to UNESCO that Mount Rinjani be one of the world's official geoparks.
