    • Meet the Croatian tour guide in front of Kraš shop on the Ban Jelačić square (across from Tourist Information Centre you will see a red Kraš sign). 

    • Try the most famous Croatian sweet, Bajadera. 

    • Get acquainted with the map of Zagreb (one will be provided for every traveller on the Become a Local walk). 

    • Start exploring the front of a model Zagreb salutes (model of Zagreb city centre).  Go towards the biggest church in Croatia, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (if it is open we will get to see the interior of it). 

    • Explore the oldest open market in the city of Zagreb, the Dolac market. There we will see products from small farms, UNESCO protected craftwork and the Fishmarket with the finest selection of the local fresh fish. 

    • Travel the most famous street in the city centre, Tkalčićeva street, which was in the past actually a creek. The bridge above that creek is nowadays the Bloody Bridge street which is leaning on Tkalčićeva street. 

    • Cross through the last remaining entrance to the upper city, the Stone Gate, and St. George will tell us a story on how he concurred with the dragon.

    • Visit the centre of political life in Croatia. See the Gouverneur mansion, our Parliament and in the centre, the most photographed building in Zagreb, St. Mark's Church.  

    • Visit the famous City Hall, Museum of Naive Art and Museum of Broken Relationships and Greek Catholic Church.

    • Visit, Lotrščak tower with our Grički cannon.

    • Take back to the Lower City of Zagreb through our Zagreb Funicular, which is one of the shortest railway stations in the world.

    • Explore Vincek, the oldest cake and pastry shop and try the world-famous Zagreb cream cake. 

    • Go to the Floral square and the most famous passage in the centre of Zagreb, Oktogon passage, where you will hear about Croatian great inventors. 

    • Finish the walk with a spectacular view of Zagreb from Zagreb Eye viewpoint and café situated on the 16th floor of the skyscraper on the Ban Jelačić Square. 

    • Enjoy a nice cup of coffee.
