4 Hours History tour itinerary for Dubrovnik: Experience Best Of Serene Views From This Croatian City
Enjoy views of the Dubrovnik Old Town along the Adriatic road, see an Old hidden Dominican monastery, a Napoleonic fortress and a War museum on this short guided tour. Top this off with picturesque views at Dubrovnik Harbour and drinks in a local tavern.
Have a ride outside the city with a stop overlooking the Dubrovnik Old Town on the main Adriatic road. A journey continues towards an area called Župa Dubrovačka. We will make a turn into the former YU army military resort completely devastated during the war in the '90s. Nearby is a location of the former Titos villa, but access is denied.
After a short ride, we will reach a hidden Dominican monastery, completely forgotten for a couple of hundred years.
After passing through several villages, it is time for a short break with a coffee or a local drink in a local tavern.
Continue with a ride across the hills to a point that promises of stunning views of the Dubrovnik archipelago. The location offers a view of Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Visit the Napoleonic Fortress and War Museum dedicated to the events from 1991. The story about the French occupation in 19 century and recent history in the '90s will bring this place alive.
Drive down the Adriatic road that will take us to the viewpoint above the Dubrovnik harbour. We will make a short stop and introduce you to the stories related to the old summer palaces located around the harbour, it's history and present state.
With this tour, you will have an overview of the city of Dubrovnik and its vicinity supported with the local stories and history related to the area. We will complete a tour experience at the starting point.
