6 Hours Culture tour itinerary for Hong Kong: Escape To Lantau!
Get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city & escape to the Lantau Island, the largest island of Hong Kong, visiting Ngong Ping (Big Buddha), Tai O fishing village and Mui Wo.
We start the day by taking the Ngong Ping 360 cable car up to the Big Buddha, where we visit the Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.
From there by bus down to Tai O fishing village, an authentic village famous for its stilt houses. We walk around the village and (optionally) take a boat tour around the place.
Bus to Mui Wo - a sleepy village on the other end of the island.
Ferry from Mui Wo back to Central Ferry Piers, end of tour, from here you may take a taxi back to your hotel.
Lunch: main options are vegetarian lunch at Po Lin monastery, or a seafood lunch at Tai O fishing village.

MTR or bus to Tung Chung, Lantau bus fares, ferry fares (up to 4 ppl, for larger groups please enquire).
Cable car tickets (standard cabin $160 per person; crystal (glass bottomed) cabin $235 per person).

Ngong Ping 360 cable car, boasting sweeping views over Lantau Island. A stunning ride to a spectacular destination.
Ngong Ping, with the famous Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery amongst its major sights.
Tai O, an authentic fishing village that is famous for its stilt houses and dried seafood. It is home to some ancient temples, and the Chinese Pink Dolphin is commonly seen in the nearby waters.
Mui Wo village. Sights here include the Silvermine Waterfall, the Man Mo Temple, old watch towers and the Silvermine Beach. Which we visit is time dependent.
