I am an American expat originally from the southeast - North Carolina, USA.I have lived in South Africa for 37 years and been proudly Capetonian for the last 33 - years.My enthusiasm for the Tourism and Hospitality industry in Cape Town and the Western Cape which lead me to fulfill my goal of becoming a registered Tourist Guide. My ultimate goal is to assist in spreading the positivity of Ubuntu and to showcase the rich history and cultural diversity that South Africa so proudly owns.We want all our International tourists to take away indelible memories of our country and heritage.I am an avid cyclist both ON and Off road, which occupies much of my free time when not guiding.My mottos are two-fold.Firstly, no two cycle rides are ever the same or in fact the “weather” in Cape Town so be prepared.Secondly, you can only be happy on a bike with such beauty surrounding the Western Cape.Other than outdoors activity I enjoy the many cultural events that occur regularly in Cape Town such as: the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert Series and the monthly art exhibits held on “First Thursdays” evenings in the heart of the city centre.This is where South Africa showcases our world-class art, design and musical talents.Winelands tours are another favourite with all our world-class wines, the variety of top restaurants and cuisine on the estates and the natural beauty that surrounds the winelands.Our South African Tour Guides are the shining light of this country and we welcome all our International visitors to share in all that we have to offer as one of the World’s top tourist destinations.
