Day 1 - Arrival in Kumasi expand_more
Depart early in the morning to the bus station and head to Kumasi, one of the largest cities in Ghana.
Reach the guest house and check-in.
Spend the entire day exploring Kumasi.
Visit the historical Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman, and his official residence.
Next, visit the Cultural Centre, the sword monument of Okomfo Anokye, and discover the world of modern art in a clean and comfortable museum setting.
Have lunch and proceed on to Kejatia market, one of West Africa's busiest and largest open-air markets.
Return to the guest house before it gets dark outside, and have a cool, relaxing evening.
In the evening, go for a drink in a local pub across the street.

Check out from the guesthouse, have breakfast, and depart for Bonwire village.
Explore the Bonwire village, popular for Kente weaving - a colorful Ghanaian traditional fabric that is worn mostly on important occasions and celebrations. Most of the kente cloth seen in Ghanaian markets actually comes from Bonwire.
Visit the Kumasi shopping mall.
