Day 1: Arrival and Accra City Tour expand_more
Meet your Ghanaian tour guide at the Kotoka International Airport, and travel to your hotel in a comfortable vehicle.
Depending on the time of your arrival, you may go through an orientation and a city tour of Accra. You may visit the Kwame Nkrumah Monument, Independence Square, Makola Market, historic Jamestown, W.E.B. Du Bois Center, and the fashionable Oxford Street in Osu.
Stay overnight at Accra.

Day 2: Volta Region, Tafi Atome, and Mount Gemi Trek expand_more
Embark on a long drive to the Volta Region early in the morning.
Your first stop will be the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary in Tafi, where you will get to tour through a forest and pet the Mona Monkeys that locals consider sacred.
In the evening, make your way to Amedzope, the highest village settlement in Ghana. Take a 15-minute hike up Mount Gemi and watch a stunning sunset from above.

Day 3: Wli Waterfalls hike expand_more
Start your day early and hike to the Wli Waterfalls, Ghana's tallest waterfall. The falls stand amongst a meticulous landscape of forest, hills, and streams, and you will enjoy the sounds of the forest and rushing water. You may take a refreshing bath in the water.
Return to your lodge for dinner and head back to Accra.

Day 4: Kumasi expand_more
Start your day early and depart to Kumasi on a 4-hour drive.
In Kumasi, tour the Kejetia Market, the largest open market in West Africa, where you will see people from all over Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, and other neighbouring countries buying and selling goods.
Visit the Manhiya Palace, the residence of the King of the Ashanti kingdom, and tour the Manhyia Palace Museum. Explore some of the cultural villages of the Ashanti Region nearby.
In the evening, shop for souvenirs at the local arts and crafts market.
Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Cape Castle expand_more
Start your day with a long drive to the Central Region and tour the Cape Coast Castle. This castle was built by the Swedes in 1653 and later taken over by the British. Your castle guide will take you through the various cells and dungeons that tell heartrending stories of the African slave trade.
Return to your beach-side hotel and relax at the beach for the rest of the day.

Day 6: Kakum National Park expand_more
Have breakfast at your hotel and depart for a drive to Kakum National Park, one of the tropical rainforests in West Africa.
Embark on a canopy walkway crossing five bridges. A park ranger will take you through the forest, explaining plants' economic, cultural, and medicinal values. Kakum National Park extends over 360 sq km and is home to over 40 large mammals, 400 bird species, species of butterflies, flora, and fauna, so keep an eye out for some spectacular birds and animals.
In the evening, spend time on a beautiful beach near the hotel, and rest for the night.

Day 7: Accra and Departure expand_more
Spend some time on the beach as you prepare for the final lap of your tour.
Leave for Accra. On the way stop at Osu for lunch.
Head to Independence Square and the art market in Accra, where you may shop for souvenirs.
Proceed to the airport for departure.
