Sign up for an excursion to the historical Cape Coast city to learn about the past at the town's famous castle. Make your way through a thrilling canopy walkway to Kakum Rainforest that is home to forest elephants, bongo antelopes, and primates like the Diana monkey. End your tour with a visit to the beautiful Elmina Castle.

    • Get picked up from your hotel or residence in Accra at 6 am by your Cape Coast tour guide and head to the Kakum rainforest first. This trip from Accra to Kakum will take approximately 3 and a half hours. (1 hour)

    • From the Rainforest, head to the Cape Coast Castle. (1 hour) 

    • Have lunch at a beach resort near the castle; one hour will be allocated for this. 

    • Proceed to Elmina Castle. This oldest European building south of Sahara was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea (1 hour)

    • From Elmina Castle, we will head back to Accra. Departure from Cape Coast back to Accra will be at 5 pm.

Know before you go

  • This is for making a day trip to Cape Coast.  If you do have some time to sleepover at Cape Coast to experience life in the Central region, that will be a wonderful experience. The price will remain the same except for an additional $120 per person for accommodation at cape coast.

  • The accommodation comes with bed and breakfast, an air-conditioned room with hot showers, a balcony with the view of the ocean as you continue to reflect on your experience at the Castles.
