1 Day Culture tour itinerary for London: Behold The Majestic Woburn Abbey
Discover the Woburn Abbey which is set in a 3,000 acre deer park in the county of Bedfordshire and located about 40 minutes north of the capital city. It was the home of the Dukes of Bedford for over 400 years.
I would collect you from your local hotel or train/tube station and your all inclusive guided tour will begin.
This House as it all and the surprises start on the drive through the massive estate which is home to hundreds of deer.
The house is full of interesting and lavishly decorated rooms, the view from the bedroom where Queen Victoria stayed is memorable as it the room richly decorated with shells which are similar on a smaller scale to the famous palace in Potsdam Germany.
Perhaps the highlight of it all is the rich display of silver and gold in the basement. In many ways, more impressive than The Crown Jewels.
Once finished, I will return you to the collection point but if you want to go on a diversion to a pretty village, old church or country pub then just let me know as all tours are leisurely paced and un-rushed, only complete when you're happy you have seen everything that you'd like to see.
Price includes entrance to this grand estate and complimentary tea/coffee and soft drinks.
Shop and restaurant bought purchases.
