Find the Medieval history of Paris XIIth century Medieval Castle; see its huge chapels, spacious gardens, museums, art galleries and its theatre.

See the 16th-century Renaissance wing - Caryuatides room of Pierre Lescot and admire the Classical Greek Art that belongs to the 5th-4th centuries BC. 

Walk into the Greek Gallery (Venus di milo) to see an ancient Greek statue and one of the most famous works of ancient Greek sculpture.

Admire the marble Hellenistic sculpture of Nike (the Greek goddess of victory), created in the 2nd century BC in Victory of Samothrace.

Marvel at the half-length portrait painting of Mona Lisa by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci that has been described as "the best known, the most visited in the world. This follows many other famous paintings which have given reputed Paris as the world’s capital of art. 

Walk past the Royal and Imperial Apartments (Apollo Gallery included) and see their architecture.
