Ride the snow-cat (a large threaded snow vehicle) up to the top of Lampivaara, where a beautiful view and the amethyst mine await you.

Use the tools of the trade, assisted by professionals, to dig for amethysts and bring one of your finds home with you if it fits in your closed fist.

See Northern Lights in the middle of the day, if you’re lucky, during ‘Kaamos’ (the time when northern Finland has almost no light). The top of Lampivaara makes for a great viewing location.

Descend back down with the snow-cat, and build a fire to cook Finnish fish soup, reindeer meat sandwich, pork sausages and tea.
