Airport Pick up – Transfer to Nairobi City Hotel
Receive a warm welcome from the tour representatives on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport.
Transfer to your city hotel where the Kenyan safari guides will brief you on your safari arrangements.

Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserves
After breakfast, drive to Samburu.
Arrive in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, depart on an exciting game viewing drive in search of the special five of Samburu which includes the Gerenuk (nicknamed Twiga gazelle), the beisa Oryx, the Reticulated Giraffe, the Somali ostrich and Grevy’s Zebra. Over 50 wildlife species are found in this game reserve including the elusive leopard and cheetah.

Samburu Game Reserves
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing in both Samburu and Buffalo Springs game reserves. This is home to the Savannah Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Wild Dog, the Endangered Pun cake Tortoise among many others. Of attraction also are over 450 species of indigenous birds. The Samburu people have a rich culture you may opt to enjoy at a small additional cost.

Samburu Game Reserves – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Tag along with your guide and drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy – a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy – situated on the equator, in Kenya's Laikipia District, between the foothills of the Aberdare and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya.
Arrive for lunch and then go on an afternoon game viewing drive. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah and chimpanzee which is one of the highlight experiences here.
Enjoy overnight Sweetwaters Serena Camp or similar.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy breakfast then depart to the Lake Nakuru National Park.
Make a brief stop at the Thompson Falls.
Proceed to the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge for lunch.
Then, go on an afternoon game viewing drive. The scenic 188km2 Lake Nakuru game park is home to the black and white rhino, prides lions, cape buffalos, waterbucks, reticulated giraffes, hartebeests among many others. When the water levels in the lake are low, the alkaline lake is famous for the thousands of greater and lesser flamingoes. The park has the largest euphorbia forest in Africa.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy an early breakfast and depart to the Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving for lunch.
Depart on an afternoon game viewing drive in search of the hundreds of wildlife species the game reserve is famous for. These include the lion, Cape buffalo, the savannah elephant, black rhino and the elusive leopard, impalas, Masai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Thompson & grant's gazelles, topis, the resident wildebeests among many others.

Masai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy breakfast then a full day of game viewing drive in search of the Big-Five among many other wildlife species. In addition to wildlife, the Mara has nice, varied scenery to enjoy. The vast plains and grasslands are also home to hundreds of bird species.
Savour meals and overnight in Sarova Mara Tented Camp LDBB or similar.
Optional Activity: Balloon Safari over the Mara plains or visit a traditional Masai Village (at an extra cost).
Masai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi
Check out after breakfast. You may opt to drive or take a one-hour flight (at an extra cost) to Nairobi.
Relish a farewell lunch at the carnivore restaurant.
Then, the guide-driver will drop you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

This 8 days Kenyan vacation is filled with unforgettable memories to amazing tourist destinations beginning with Samburu Game Reserve, which offers an evocative cocktail of uniquely contrasting habitats and abundant wildlife.
Our next destination is Lake Nakuru National Park, dominated by gently rolling terrain with open bush and woodlands, typical of the dry rift valley vegetation and famous for the 1.5 million-strong population of Lesser Flamingo and a sanctuary for black and white rhinos among other wildlife.
Heading further south is Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake and a renowned world-class birding destination. The lake is home to a variety of wildlife with large hippo populations sleeping the day out in the shallow waters.
Our safari ends with Maasai Mara Game Reserve; the site of one of the most spectacular phenomena of the natural world -the great annual wildebeest migration distinguished as one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World”, and a unique world heritage

In the event of a change in Government Taxes or Levies affecting the rates mentioned herein, Southern Safaris and Travel reserves the right to pass on any increases above 5% to Tour Operator or a client.
A deposit of 35% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 45 days before commencement of the tour program.
If the reservation is made within 45 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time of confirmation.
Children under 3 years sharing a room with an adult will be accommodated complimentary (maximum two).
Children between the age of 3 and 12 years pay 50% of the adult rate if sharing a room with two adults.
75% of the adult rate if sharing a room with other children.
100% of the adult rates if sharing a room with one adult.
No discount on Holiday and other supplements. This condition may vary from one property to the other please check this with us.
All cancellations must be received in writing. As all suppliers charge cancellation fees, they are in turn passed on to us. Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in a number of occupancies are subject to cancellation and no-show fees. Following is the scale for cancellation charges:
35% if cancelled between 45 and 35days prior to arrival
50% if cancelled between 34 and 15 days prior to arrival.
100% if cancelled 14 days and 24hours prior to arrival
Although every effort is made to adhere to schedules, it should be noted that the hoteliers in Kenya may be obliged to occasionally change routes on safaris as dictated by changing conditions. Such conditions may be brought about by seasonal rainfall on bush tracks, airfields and in game areas, by game migrations from one region to another, or airline or other booking problems, etc.

Single Room Supplement (SRS): Should a client wish to have a room by themselves, this supplement should be added to the “per person sharing” rate.
Tipping: Tips are not included in the costs but below is a schedule which could be used as a guide by the guests should they wish to tip the staff on the appreciation of services rendered.

Baggage: Baggage allowance for domestic flights is 10kgs per person including hand luggage. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and aircrafts used within East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24″x 17″x 7″ are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised).
The quote is expressed as per person sharing a double room and a supplement for single room occupation has also been shown. The rate includes accommodation based on the hotels and lodges mentioned in the program using standard rooms.
Holiday and seasonal supplements:
Most hotels and lodges in East Africa charge a supplement over Easter, Christmas and New Year, for this they provide special festive meals or entertainments or something similar and sometimes requires a minimum of a number of nights in order to confirm the booking. However, evening entertainment in the safari lodges and camps is rare, as noise is likely to scare the wildlife.
NOTE: Please note that some bookings might straddle between two seasons making our seasonal quotations on accommodation.
