NAIROBI - MAASAI MARA
Pick up from airport or place of residence in Nairobi at 7:00 am. Your safari takes you to the Maasai Mara Reserve and into the domain of the Maasai people. These Kenya’s cattle-herding tribals are seen as being determined to preserve their traditions. The Mara is home to Kenya’s richest concentration of wildlife and regarded by many travelers as an essential stopover while touring Africa. When westerners think of Africa and safari, this is the place they imagine – golden grassland plains pocked with acacia trees, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and jackals bound together by the cycle of life and death. Three days here will only scratch the surface of one of the wonders of the wild.
Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch.
After lunch, leave for an evening game drive until late evening wherein you settle for dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation overnight at the Lodge or Camp.
MASAI MARA FULL DAY
Spend this day in Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most popular game reserve where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five – lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the option of going out with picnic lunch boxes to spend the entire day in the park. Or else, you can choose to have early morning and late afternoon game drives. You will also have the option of visiting a local Maasai village (at a cost of US$ 20 per person).
All meals and overnight at the Lodge or Camp.
MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE - NAIROBI
After early morning breakfast at your camp, check out of the park and drive to Nairobi city.
Arrive in time for lunch, which will be at the world renowned carnivore wherein you have the opportunity to sample crocodile or ostrich meat.
Afterwards, get dropped off at your respective hotel or airport.

This short budget safari concentrates on Maasai Mara. The position of the accommodation has been chosen to make it easy to do game drives to any of the park locations with a better density of the big cats. It has been crafted for the serious wildlife viewer and is a must-do safari. Stretching 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and rising 1,500 – 2,170 meters above sea level; hosting over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of birds, the Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible and most spectacular ecosystems and possibly the world’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is home to an abundance of big cats including the lion, leopard and cheetah. The Maasai Mara ecosystem is home to one of the highest lion densities in the world and this is where over two million Wildebeest, Zebra and Thomson’s Gazelle migrate annually. It takes 4-5 hours to cover the 270 km from Nairobi by road. There are several charter flights available and it takes 40-45 minutes of flying time to get to the Maasai Mara. This safari is for strictly takes us to Maasai Mara for two days of serious game viewing and the search for the big cats will be our main activity.
