Description

Embark on a 5-Day tour to the best National Parks of Kenya, including the Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve. Witness the extensive bio-diversity of Kenya, see large herds of elephants and thousands of pink flamingos at Lake Nakuru National Park, and the famous Big 5 at Masai Mara National Reserve.

Highlights
  • Spot pink flamingos and rare species of birds at Lake Nakuru National Park
  • See the African Big 5 at Amboseli National Park
  • Go on an exciting game drive at the Maasai Mara
  • Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli expand_more
    • Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where you will meet our representative and receive a brief on the safari.

    • Proceed to Amboseli National Park. You would be interested to know that this was the first National Park established in Kenya. The park is strategically situated at the North West foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa and the second-highest globally.

    • On a clear morning, you will quickly see the snow cup that crowns its rise from the comfort of your hotel room or while out on a game drive. The scenery on this drive is predominantly of wide-open spaces characterized by a sparse settlement system mainly along the road. Most of this park consists of dry, ancient lakebeds and fragile grasslands with patches of acacia woodland. It is in this park more than anywhere else, perhaps on the continent, that you are bound to see large herds of elephants.

    • Arrive at the camp/lodge in time for lunch.

    • Spend the early afternoon at leisure within the lodge premises.

    • Depart for a game drive in the evening till dusk.

Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Suggested Accommodation or similar standard: Kimana Amboseli Camp

  • Day 2: Amboseli - Lake Nakuru expand_more
    • Go for an early morning game drive.

    • Return to the lodge/camp for breakfast.

    • Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park lunch en-route. The park is home to one of Kenya’s most famous pictures; thousands of pink flamingos swathed together on the lake shores. The flamingos frequent the beaches to feed on the Algae that abound there. The numbers have, however, dwindled in recent years and migrated to Lake Bogoria. That notwithstanding, the park boasts of prolific birdlife, with over 450 bird species having been recorded in addition, to the African wild dog, buffalos, zebras, elands, lions, and other animals.

    • You can also find rhinos lazing in the shadow of the acacia trees on a hot sunny afternoon. But perhaps most interesting, it is probably in this park more than any other in the country that visitors increase their chances of spotting the elusive leopard.

    • Depart for a game drive in the afternoon till dusk.

    • Return for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Suggested Accommodation or similar standard: Lanet Matfam Resort

  • Day 3: Lake Nakuru - Masai Mara expand_more
    • Check out from the lodge after breakfast and depart to Mara with a game en-route. This journey drives you further south West to what has been the ultimate game viewing destination, the Maasai Mara.

    • Arrive at the Mara in time for lunch.

    • Spend the early afternoon in relaxation at your camp/lodge, by the pool or in your room.

    • Depart for a game drive in the evening till dusk. As you are bound to discover, Mara’s sundowner is an experience to relish.

    • Enjoy dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Suggested Accommodation or similar standard: Lenchada Tourist Camp

  • Day 4: Masai Mara expand_more
    • Be welcomed with a champagne bush breakfast. An early morning balloon safari is available as an option at USD 400 per person. The Balloon launches at 0600hrs and takes one hour.

    • Leave the lodge after breakfast with a picnic lunch for the entire day of game viewing. The Mara is the land of African legend. Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are the elephants, giraffes, and various gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino.

    • Return for dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.
  • Day 5: Masai mara - Nairobi expand_more
    • Embark on an early morning game drive.

    • Check out and depart to Nairobi after breakfast. A stopover is provided in Narok the Masai city to buy curios and souvenirs.
