Visit the City Market located near the city center, a small open-air market.

Drive through the large central city square passing by Nairobi's city hall: Kenya's parliament building; the Kenyatta Conference Center; the Law courts and Mausoleum of Jomo Kenyatta.

Go to the Parliament building dating back to the 1930's and see the statue of Jomo Kenyatta, needlework tapestries showing Kenya's history, a mosaic of Kenyan tribes.

Explore the National Museum of Kenya containing the discoveries at Tanzania's Olduvai Gorge and at Koobi Fora in northern Kenya. Also on display, are wildlife statues plus a wide range of weapons, ornaments, and head-dresses of various Kenyan tribes. Learn about Kenya's modern history through an extensive ornithological collection as well as contemporary art from across the eastern Africa.

Visit the Snake Park, which has a variety of reptile and fish species. The reptile section is the oldest with outside pit type cages housing leopards, tortoises, white-throat monitors and snakes.
