A Day In Hurghada expand_more
- Pick up by your guide from your hotels or your Cruise boats in Safaga or Hurghada at the arranged time, which you will know via an Email or SMS to your mobile phone.
- Start your tour with your friendly tour guide, who will give instructions and educational information about the whole itinerary while passing through Hurghada main points. You will start your tour by passing beside the oldest hotel in Hurghada, the old Sheraton Hotel, a big round building on a headland to the south of town. It is no longer a Sheraton and has been unused for the past few years.
- Next, head to the old Felfela restaurant, which is considered one of the greatest panoramic views. Situated with views across the bay to Gifton island, you can start with a photo-stop for beautiful scenes for the boats, islands, and sea.
- After that, you will join your guide to the new marina. Starting from June 2008, Hurghada Marina offers city views with a new look. With many of Egypt’s finest restaurants, unique cafes and stylish bars, Hurghada Marina Boulevard offers the best in food and beverage for all tastes.
- Leave the marine area and walk with your guide to the right-hand side from the exit door, a few meters where you will pass by a fish market.
- Later on, continue your tour to the Marina New Mosque, where your guide will explain to you about Islam and Muslim traditions and religion with the opportunity to make some photos inside and outside the mosque but not during the praying time.
- Before you step again on your bus and continue your tour to the next stop, you will have the chance to take some other nice photos of the boats under construction or be fixed in the old harbour next to the new mosque.
- The next stop will be the Church of St Mary in Dahar.
- Near the church in Dahar are the Vegetables and Fruit market. Spend some 15 minutes of free time to go and walk between the souk allies. Do not be afraid, people are amicable, and the prices are very reasonable here. See the hustle and bustle of the town.
- After checking your negotiation skills, you will move to the next stop, resting at a coffee shop with typical Egyptian drinks and Shisha with flavour.
- Now it is time to try the Egyptian Falafel and beans with Aish Baladi with a bottle of water before your last stop, which is not obligatory, but it depends on your choice, the Oil factory for some shopping or back to the hotel.
