Day 1: Canyoning and Sliding expand_more
After breakfast, start the journey to Morona Santiago in el Oriente from Cuenca,
Arrival at the hotel in Limón is scheduled around noon.
Afterwards, have a good lunch and explore the small town for a while.
Drive to the waterfalls where you can do the canyoning and sliding. The place is located in the rainforest and is great for a little adventure in the jungle.
Return to Limón for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Canyoning expand_more
After a hearty breakfast, drive to the small Shuar/Mestizo community in the middle of the rainforest.
Walk through the rainforest trail to get to our first waterfall for canyoning.
Rappel down the high waterfalls in the jungle.
This will be followed by a traditional meal prepared by the Shuars.
Optional: Traditional Shuar performance with typical dances (for an extra fee).
Return to Limón in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Petroglyphs and tubing expand_more
After breakfast, depart to a site with ancient petroglyphs.
Later, produce fresh sugarcane juice for yourself by yourself!
Have lunch at the riverside.
In the afternoon, take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the river and have fun going tubing.
Return to the hotel and prepare for the trip back to Cuenca.

What to bring
Limón is situated in the Amazon rainforest, so the weather is usually nice and warm, but you have to be prepared for light to heavy rains. So bring mainly light clothes and just a few warmer ones for the evenings or when it starts raining.
