7 Days Tribal Experience tour itinerary for Quito & Yasuni National Park: Set Out For A Thrilling Tribal Expedition In The Amazon Rainforests
Quito, Yasuni National Park
Explore the deepest parts of Amazon in Ecuador with more than 650 different species of birds, 4,000 butterflies, frogs, snakes, and other animals. Go on a 7-day guided adventure as you visit quaint beaches, go on boat rides through the dense rain forests and capture the gigantic Anacondas hanging from trees and shrubs.
At 7 am meet the local tour guide and start the expedition by land transport to the Shiripuno Community.
Board a motor-boat to continue the expedition by the river Shiripuno.
Here the guide will give you instructions on how to travel by canoe in these places.
During the tour, travel slowly so that you can observe the great biodiversity of flora and fauna.
At 1 pm box lunch is served.
After lunch, continue sailing down the river, see beautiful birds like toucan and parrots.
At 5 pm, arrive at a Waorani home and share that night camping in their home.
At 7:30 pm a delicious dinner will be served.
After dinner, go for a night walking tour.
Meet the tour guide early in the morning and go for a canoe activity downstream along with bird observations after breakfast. Take a canoe tour bird watching, possible dolphin sightings on the Cononaco River.
Transfer to the cabin from the point of Mayantuyacu at 7:15 am.
Walk in the jungle to observe the flora, fauna and enjoy a cold snack.
Swim near the Cononaco River before heading to the beach for a box lunch.
Reach the Bameno community area by 4:30 pm.
Get a demonstration of Curare venom (poison used to kill animals): elaborate traditional "spear, arrows" of different palms.
Overnight in local camp.
Wake up early for breakfast and sunrise views today.
By 6 am, depart in a canoe to Miguanu Yaku for day excursions through the forest for around 5 hours.
Enjoy a walk along the trail habitat of different species of birds and small monkeys.
Have lunch by 1 pm and relax before enjoying a session of swimming.
Dinner is served at 8 pm along with night activities before going to bed by 10 pm.
Have an early breakfast at 7 am.
Head out in a motor canoe to lagoon "Iteka Wori" for observing boas and anacondas.
At around 11 am, visit a giant tree "Ceibo", and have lunch by 12 pm.
Indulge in a fun and challenging activity of using blowgun and spear. Also, learn techniques and get demonstrations of hunting.
Have dinner and go for optional night activities by 8 pm.
Cononaco and Mayantuyacu
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at 8 am.
At around 10 am, head out for observations of caimans in Cononaco and Mayantuyacu.
Have lunch at 1 pm and relax for some time.
Visit an exhibition of traditional culture and various crafts models.
Have dinner and optional night activities by 7.30pm.
After breakfast at 8 am, start packing and prepare for departure.
Get a chance to see alligators(caimans), turtles, birds, toucans, parrots and monkeys.
At 12 pm, stop for lunch at one of the beautiful beaches or go to one of the old houses belonging to the Waorani families.
After lunch, cross the territory of Taromenanes.
At 7 pm, have a good dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at 7 am, continue the journey on the motor-boat.
See caimans (alligators) sleeping in the beach soaking sunlight, or capture turtles and anacondas.
At 12 pm, stop for lunch at a local beach.
At around 2 pm, drive for 2 hours to reach Coca city.
Reach Coca by 5 pm.
River and land transport 8 days
Accommodation in individual tent and matrimonial.
Complete meals during the tour.
Entrance to the community and tour and cultural activities.
Ground or air transportation to the city of Coca and return to the city of origin.
Extra meals and drinks.

Personal equipments to be carried:
Thermal and waterproof jacket.
Light clothing, trousers and shirts with long sleeves (better green, camouflage or darks colors), thin sacks.
Cap and goggles.
Comfortable backpack to carry it during jungle walks. Insect repellent.
Flashlight and extra batteries.
Water bottle (does not supply drinking water).
Camera (if you have a small really good quality and good zoom camera is better).
Passport or identity card and vaccination card (yellow fever).
First aid kit is available; and in the locality of bameno there is an airport, which facilitates with ambulance service area.
Most of our route does not have telephone services, internet.
If possible we can have 120v electrical power 4 hours of night by generator system.
The food is served in the beach or in the restaurant of the community.
Last community of the Waoranis tribe is located approximately 86 kilometers away by land from the town of Puerto Francisco de Orellana (el coca), and another 200 kilometers by waterway from Shiripuno; less than 20 kilometers from the border with Peru. This community has great tourism potential in natural, cultural and gastronomic resources. During our tour you will be able to know the fauna, the flora of the yasuni national park and the waorani culture that lives in the area, enjoy its landscape and the tranquility that the jungle offers us in an unparalleled paradise.
