Reach the waterfall by a one-hour bus ride from Bogotá . The site can be accessed by crossing the 3400-meter high mountains around Bogotá.

Witness the scenery leading up to the waterfall wonderful, green, with lots of fresh air. The hike itself is not that easy ; to get there and back it takes around 4 hours, but the view and the scenery makes it very much worth your while! 

Arrive at a smaller waterfall at the beginning of the hike, the El Chiflon, of which one can even go behind – it provides an incredible experience for hikers. 

Pass through a fantastic ‘fog forest’ that is surrounded by local farms and diverse local vegetation bromeliads, orchids, etc. 

Get refreshing drinks and food from local farmers (freshly made stuffed arepas and empanadas).
