Being 69 meters shorter than Mount Aconcagua, the Ojos del Salado volcano allows you to enjoy the solitary peace of the mountains in an uncrowded place.

DAY 01

MEETING IN caldera (BAHÍA INGLESA)

  • Meet the Chilean guide at 18:00 hrs to check itineraries and equipment at the Hotel Coral de Bahia or a similar hotel.

  • Welcome dinner with the team.

Stay overnight at the Hotel Coral de Bahia ora similar hotel according to availability.

DAY 02

CALDERA - LAGUNA SANTA ROSA (3.762 m)

  • After breakfast, we move to Copiapo for last-minute shopping. 

  • After lunch, head to the Quebrada de Paipote and pass the night in Laguna Santa Rosa.

Spend the night in the refuge.

DAY 03

LAGUNA SANTA ROSA - MOUNT 7 HERMANOS (4.780 M) - LAGUNA VERDE (4.350 M)

  • Go on an acclimatization hike to the Mount 7 Hermanos.

  • Later, move to Laguna Verde.

Spend the night in a refuge or tent.

LAGUNA VERDE – MOUNT MULAS MUERTAS (5.897 MSNM) - LAGUNA VERDE.

  • Another acclimatization hike to the Mount Mulas Muertas. 

Stay overnight under the tent.

DAY 05

LAGUNA VERDE – BASE CAMP ATACAMA (5.230 M)

    After breakfast, move to the Base Camp.

Stay overnight in the tent. 

DAY 06

BASE CAMP ATACAMA – HIGH CAMP TEJOS (5.830 M) - BASE CAMP ATACAMA

    Move equipment and food to the high camp Tejos. 

Stay overnight in the  base camp tent


DAY 07

  • After lunch, move to the high camp Tejos and prepare for the next day.

Stay overnight at the refuge.


DAY 08

    Start early on the hardest day to reach the summit and then come back to the Base Camp. Enjoy memorable moments on the top. 

Rest at the campsite, sleep under the stars.

DAY 09

Security day

    Make use of this extra day in case of bad weather or emergency.

Spend the night in refuge or tent according to availability.

DAY 10

  • Come back to the sea level and prepare to leave the next day.

Stay overnight in a hotel. 

  • 6250000 CLP Per Group (* Until 4 people)
  • Accommodation in the mentioned or similar hotels.

  • Fully equipped camps (tents, kitchen equipment and dining room tent).

  • All meals during the whole trip.

  • All kind of drinks during picnics/box lunches and/or camp meals (alcoholic drinks just until Laguna Verde).

  • Security and communication equipment (radios VHF, GPS, pharmacy, satellite phone).

  • Private transportation during the whole trip.

  • Bilingual specialized Chilean leader guide.
