Spend time in Puyehue, the most equipped park in the region, with all sorts of comforts built specially for tourists. DAY 01

Puerto Montt / Puerto Varas

  • Begin from Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas and move towards Lake Llanquihue, the largest lake entirely within Chile.

  • Enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Llanquihue from Totoral.

  • Travel to Peninsula Punta Larga.

  • Follow this up by travelling to Frutillar, which is also known as the "City of Music".

  • Next, visit Puerto Octay. You will find houses influenced by German architecture in this place.

  • Reach Entre lagos, which is a Town in Puyehue commune.

  • Finally, arrive at National Park Puyehue where you can induldge in activities like trekking, or spending quality time at the hot springs.

  • The relief of Puyehue National Park is the result of intense glacial processes and volcanic action, especially in the valleys.  The volcanic activity occurs in the area of Antillanca, where the Casablanca volcano stands at 6,528 feet above sea level. To the North is Puyehue volcano (volcán Puyehue), at 7,335 feet above sea level, and the volcanic range of the Caulle, which had recent sulfur lava fluids and provides several thermal waters and geysers. The minimum height of Puyehue National Park is of 820 feet in the valley of the Gol-Gol river and the maximum is of 7,335 feet in Puyehue volcano.

  • Its natural attractions are the exuberant vegetation and animal species in danger of extinction and is situated in an extraordinarily beautiful zone in the region of Los Lagos. It has a surface area of 100 thousand hectares (220,000 acres) and it borders with Chile's oldest park, Vicente Pérez Rosales. Set in the middle of the Andes, with volcanoes within its territory, the park boasts a stunning and diverse landscape with a variety of sport and relaxation activities.
