Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Drive to Thimphu expand_more
Meet the tour representatives at Paro airport.
Drive to Thimphu, the capital town of Bhutan. Stop en-route at Chuzom and the confluence of the Thimphu & Paro rivers.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, check into the hotel.
In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong, which means Fortress of Glorious Religion.
Visit the King’s memorial stupa.

Day 2: Thimphu to Punakha expand_more
- After early breakfast, drive to Dochula pass (3088m).
- Stop briefly here to take in the view and admire the stupa, Mani wall, and prayer flags that decorate the highest point on the road.
- Plan an excursion to Chimmi Lhakhang situated on a hillock in the center of the valley. This temple is known as the temple of fertility.
- Visit Punakha Dzong, built strategically at the junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to serve as the religious and administrative center of the region.

Day 3: Punakha to Paro expand_more
Drive to Paro.
Visit Rinpung Dzong. Built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan, Dzong houses the monastic body of Paro, the office of Dzongda (district administrative) and Thrimpon (Judge) of Paro district.
Drive up the valley to view the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. It was from here that the Bhutanese repelled several invading Tibetan armies during the 17th century.
Follow it by a visit to the Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom.

Day 4: Paro expand_more
Begin the day by hiking to visit the holy Tiger’s nest monastery. This involves a spectacular walk up to the lofty heights. Situated high above the Paro valley, the spectacular view from this ‘temple of Heaven’ is simply breathtaking.

After breakfast, drive to Paro International airport for departure.
