  • Day 1: Phuentsholing ­to Thimphu expand_more
    • Meet your tour guide at a predecided location.

    • Eat your breakfast, proceed to Thimphu approximately for a 6 hours ride. The road climbs steeply up and down mountainous ranges through zig­zag mountain routes. 

    • Stop at Kharbandi Gompa monastery built by the Royal Grandmother, Ashi Phuntsho Choedon, in 1967. Enjoy splendid views of Phuentsholing and the Indian plains from the monastery gardens of tropical plants and flowers. Eat your lunch en route.

    Stay overnight in Thimphu.

  • Day 2: Sightseeing in Thimphu expand_more
    • Eat your breakfast. Visit the Kuensel Phodrang, where a big Buddha statue is built and walk into the Kuensel Phodrang nature park. From there, you get the best view of the Thimphu valley with the mountains behind.

    • See the Motithang Takin Preserve, also known as the Mini Zoo, where you will see Bhutan’s typical national animal and the Folk Heritage Museum dedicated to connecting people with the Bhutanese rural past through exhibitions.

    • Enjoy your lunch. Visit the Handmade Paper Factory, where you will see how Bhutanese traditional handmade paper is made, and the Crafts Bazaar, where you will find authentic Bhutanese made crafts.

    • Walk along the Norzin Lam, the main Thimphu downtown.

  • Day 3: Sightseeing in Punakha expand_more
    • Eat your breakfast. Drive towards Punakha via Dochula Pass, located at an altitude of 3150 m above sea level  - probably the best-known mountain pass in Bhutan. On a clear day, you will enjoy incredible views of the Himalayan peaks! Another feature at the pass is the 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens.

    • See the Chimi Lhakhang temple of Drukpa Kuenly, who is known as the Divine Madman for his eccentric behaviours. He is also considered a symbol of fertility and many childless couples go to his temple for blessing. It is about 30 minutes hike across the fields where you would find paintings of phalluses on the houses.

    • See the Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 and was named Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). You will enjoy the scenic location of the Dzong between the two rivers of Pho (male) and Mo (female) Chhu (river).

    Stay overnight in Punakha.

  • Day 4: Punakha to Paro expand_more
    • Eat your breakfast. Hike to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten for picturesque views of the rice terraces along the river.

    • Then visit the Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress which is located between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). Visit the longest suspension bridge across the Dzong.

    • Enjoy your lunch. Drive back to Paro. Walk around Paro street.

    Stay overnight in Paro.

  • Day 5: Sightseeing in Paro expand_more
    • Hike to the Taktsang Monastery, and the wooden structure stands bravely on a cliff in the upper Paro Valley. The walk will take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours one way. It is said that the great Guru Rinpoche have flown here on the back of a tigress and set up this monastery when he brought the teachings of the Buddhist Dharma to Bhutan in the 8th Century.

    • Have your lunch. Visit the Paro National Museum.

    • See the Paro Rinpung Dzong.

    • Enjoy your evening at the Farmhouse to experience traditional Bhutan - taste Bhutanese cuisine and dip into traditional hot stone baths as well. Stay overnight in Paro.

  • Day 6: Drive to Phuentsholing expand_more
    • Eat your breakfast.

    • Drive to Phuentsholing and proceed to your onward destination.
