Leave Salzburg along the Salzach river, to start the tour, and pass by Castle Hellbrunn towards the German border with the Austrian tour guide.
Along the Kings Lake-Ache, the journey goes to Obersalzberg where the second headquarters of the Third Reich used to be.
The highlight of this tour is the visit of Kings Lake & Berchtesgaden, which is embedded among the steep and imposing mountains of the Bavarian Alps. The most famous of these peaks is the Watzmann.
After a stop, walk through the 11th century town of Berchtesgaden.
Drive back to Salzburg.
Optional: A visit to the Eagle's Nest. Enjoy a 20 minute bus tour to the original building that holds a lot of history about Hitler's 2nd headquarters. Take the history elevator to the main building. On a walk around the mountain peak find a spectacular view of the Alps in Austria and Germany.
Optional: A visit to the Salt Mine.
