Begin the tour and head towards the Mellah Quarter inside the Medina (walled city), which is home to the Jewish Cemetery. Though one might feel there is nothing great about this place, the white-washed tombs and sandy graves will make you change your perception.
Bordering the Cemetary is the Jewish quarter, which has a few synagogues which are still functional in Mellah. Salat Al-Azama (Lazama) is the most popular among them. Your private Marrakech tour guide has a lot of stories to tell about this place and people.
Visit the Lazama Synagogue, which is still used by Marrakesh's Jewish community. Zellij tilework's Star of David motif is the star attraction.
Time for some shopping! Jewish crafts and antiques are famous all over the world, especially the Jewish-engraved silver items and pottery with Hebrew writing on it.
