Description

Enjoy the adventurous 3-day tour and discover the best of Amazon's rivers and forests. Swim with the Pink Dolphins, spot alligators, and go for a full day jungle hike. Sail down the Rio Negro, witness the meeting point of the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões, meet an Indigenous family, and understand their rituals.

  • Day 1 : Rio Negro with Rio Solimões expand_more

    • Depart from the hotel at 07.30 am and reach Port Ajato 2000 to embark at 08.00 am.

    • Navigate down Rio Negro River to see the famous phenomenon at the confluence of the Rio Negro with Rio Solimões, and see the different coloured water of both the rivers.

    • Continue to Lake Janauari, have special sightseeing of the Giant Water Lilies, (from April month to August the rivers are flooded).

    • Enjoy lunch on the Boat.

    • Then, continue up the Rio Negro, to do the activities.

    • After dinner, go in a motorized canoe, for spotting Caimans (alligators).

    Spend the overnight on the boat.

  • Day 2 : Jungle Walk in Rio Negro expand_more

    • Wake-up at 05.15 am, for the morning tour (sunrise) and observing birds. 

    • Come back for breakfast at 07.00 am, then get ready for the Jungle hike. During the jungle hike, your Brazilian jungle guide will point out several plants that are used as medicines (herbs). 

    • Return to the Boat for lunch around noon. 

    • At 03.00 pm, go to visit a native family to see how they make Tapioca and to observe their way of life. 

    • Continue to a place and swim with pink river Dolphins. 

    • Go out for fishing Piranhas. 

    • Head back to the Boat and have dinner around 07.00 pm.

  • Day 3 : Village tour expand_more

    • Have breakfast at 07.00 am, then leave the place in a motorized canoe to spot animals like Sloths, Monkeys, and birds ( sometimes you will have a chance to feed the monkeys in the wild) 

    • Navigate down the Rio Negro to visit an Indigenous family, to see their rituals, with lunch served on Boat.

    • Return to Manaus around 5 pm.

Know before you go

  • Rainy Season: From January to May.

  • Flood Season: From March to August, when the water level rises up to about 15 meters (45 feet). This is the time you can see the flooded lands (igapós), creeks (igarapés) and forest, in all its beauty.

  • Summer: From September to November.

  • Dry Season: From September to February. When the level of the Rivers (water) reaches its lowest point. Where you have the opportunity to see more fish and Caimans (alligators).

  • It is recommended to bring Long pants, Long sleeve shirt, Sun lotion, Flashlight, Mosquito repellent, Hat, Towel, Trekking shoes and Swimming clothes.

  • Amazon Cruises with cabins and air conditioning.
